Command Bindings

Several xPilot commands can be assigned to keyboard keys, joystick buttons, or switches in X-Plane. If you are not familiar with setting up command shortcuts in X-Plane, see the X-Plane Manual.

Available xPilot commands in X-Plane:

  • Radio Push to Talk (PTT)
Assign xPilot: Radio Push-To-Talk (PTT) to transmit on the selected radio while connected to the network.

  • Split Audio Channels
Assign xPilot: Split Audio Channels to split COM1 and COM2 audio into separate channels. COM1 is routed to the left channel, and COM2 is routed to the right channel. This is a shortcut for the Split Audio Channels option in xPilot settings.

  • Toggle Default X-Plane ATIS
Assign xPilot: Toggle Default X-Plane ATIS to enable or disable the default X-Plane ATIS. xPilot normally disables the default ATIS while connected to the network, but you can turn it back on with this command or through the xPilot plugin menu.

  • Toggle Nearby ATC Window
Assign xPilot: Toggle Nearby ATC Window to show or hide the Nearby ATC window.

  • Toggle Aircraft Labels
Assign xPilot: Toggle Aircraft Labels to show or hide aircraft labels.

  • Toggle Notification Panel
Assign xPilot: Toggle Notification Panel to show or hide the notification panel.

  • Toggle Message Console
Assign xPilot: Toggle Message Console to show or hide the text message console. See the note in Text Message Console for keyboard binding limitations.

  • Toggle TCAS Control
Assign xPilot: Toggle TCAS Control to request or release TCAS control. If another plugin already owns the TCAS targets and does not release them when requested, xPilot will not be able to take control.
