SELCAL

If you enter a SELCAL (Selective Calling) code when connecting to VATSIM, controllers can send a SELCAL alert to your aircraft using that code.

SELCAL is most commonly used on long flights where VHF coverage is unavailable and HF radio is used instead. Because HF frequencies often include continuous background static, pilots may reduce the audio volume and rely on SELCAL to alert them when a controller is trying to make contact.

When a SELCAL alert is received, xPilot plays a tone and shows a message in the main message area.
