Dot Commands
xPilot supports the following dot commands. Enter them in the command line below the message history in any tab.
Some commands require an active VATSIM connection and/or an active X-Plane connection.

.chat <Callsign> | Opens a private chat tab for the specified callsign. You must be connected to the network. |
.msg <Callsign> <Message> | Sends a private message to the specified callsign and opens the chat tab if needed. You must be connected to the network. |
.atis | Requests controller information or text ATIS. |
.wallop <Message> | Sends a wallop message to VATSIM supervisors. |
.wx <Station> | Requests the METAR for the specified station ID. Alias: .metar <Station>. |
.ctaf <Station> | Looks up the CTAF for the specified airport. |
.com1 <Frequency> | Sets the COM1 radio to the specified frequency. |
.com2 <Frequency> | Sets the COM2 radio to the specified frequency. |
.rx com1/com2 on/off | Enables or disables receive on the selected COM radio. Example: .rx com1 on. |
.tx com1/com2 | Sets COM1 or COM2 as the active transmit radio. Example: .tx com2. |
.radios on/off | Overrides avionics radio power in xPilot. |
.x <Squawk-Code> | Sets the transponder code. The code must be four octal digits. Aliases: .xpdr <Squawk-Code>, .xpndr <Squawk-Code>, .squawk <Squawk-Code>. |
.lasttx | Lists stations that have transmitted within the last 60 seconds, including the frequency and how recently they transmitted. |
.logs | Opens the xPilot logs folder in your system file explorer. |
.appdata | Opens the xPilot application data folder in your system file explorer. |
.plugins | Opens the xPilot plugins folder in your system file explorer. See Installing Plugins. |
.downloadcsl | Launches the CSL installer. |
.towerview | Connects xPilot in tower view mode. X-Plane must be connected, and you must be disconnected from the VATSIM network first. |
.simip | Configures the IP address of the computer running X-Plane. See Running xPilot Over a Network. |
.visualip | Configures the visual machine IP address for networked setups. See Running xPilot Over a Network. |
.ignore <Callsign> | Adds the specified aircraft to the ignore list so xPilot will not render it. |
.unignore <Callsign> | Removes the specified aircraft from the ignore list. |
.ignorelist | Displays the current ignore list. |
